INGA KHURIEVA

Inga Khurieva is a self-taught surrealist artist whose symbol-rich, emotionally charged works explore transformation, vulnerability, and the journey toward inner sovereignty.

Her work bridges the intuitive and the surreal, drawing from the deep well of personal transformation, myth, and emotional alchemy. Originally from Russia, Inga graduated with a degree in English Language and Literature from Mordovian State University in 2012. She later moved to the United States in 2013, where she began her journey of creative self-discovery, first as a means of healing, and then as a calling.

Inga's paintings often explore the tension between vulnerability and power, innocence and maturity, the wounded self and the sovereign spirit. Her visual language is rich with symbolism, fragmented bodies, mystical archetypes, all orbiting around the human experience of growth, survival, and awakening. Through bold color palettes and emotionally charged imagery, her work invites viewers to confront their own inner landscapes.

Much of Inga’s art is autobiographical, yet it speaks to something universal: the journey from emotional chaos to inner order, from the wounded feminine to the crowned empress. Whether creating a haunting figure study or a dreamlike composition, she paints not only what she sees, but what she feels, fears, forgives, and finally, integrates.

Currently based in the U.S., Inga continues to develop her body of work while exploring new ways to animate and narrate her visual world, through storytelling, social media content, and immersive puzzle art. Her mission as an artist is simple: to turn the raw material of life into something beautiful, symbolic, and enduring.
